The Angel Ariel, wingless walks among us.
The Eighth card in the Major Arcana features Archangel Ariel taming a lion who affectionately licks her hands. We begin to see symbols repeat themselves such as the mobius above her head just as we saw in The Magician. Lore has it that Ariel is still a powerful angelic being, her mission was to give up her celestial “wings” so that she could walk among here on earth. This way she could teach and influence humankind directly on this physical plane. Enjoy the symbology of this beautiful card.
She is the angel Ariel
who chose to leave grace,
and she will return
once the Earth becomes that better place.
She walks among us
to show us how, with power and love,
we can become more than human;
by subduing the Earth,
and by owning our home.
She teaches us how to handle responsibility,
for now we must become caretakers,
governing and guiding all that we have conquered.
When all people learn these things
and pass it on down to their children,
then the ever-present, steadfast Ariel
will regain her wings,
and she will climb the golden stairway
to show us the way back home.
