The Newlywed Game.
If the Lovers card teaches us the lesson of divine duality, this card is the practice of the balance between a man and woman. The sky appears at dusk with the fading light of the Sun just below the horizon as the Moon overhead grows in strength. So too do the couple exchange cups, one silver for the moon and one gold for the sun. The Red winged lion stands for vital energy and the snakes form the caduceus, the symbol of health sciences. A trail leads to their handsome home nestled in the protection of a safe valley. This card is about the balance of the positive (male) and the negative (female) like the poles of a battery that emits energetic power. There is a lot to absorb here, so take it in and ingest the words of my poem and my hope it nourishes you.
Exchange thy heart with mine
and let us dwell together,
sharing health and vitality.
We stand before each other,
erect and with honor;
equal partners.
Committed to a pact,
growing together;
strong and straightforward.
Ever upward, onward we go,
tenderness and caring;
to govern each act.
