Don’t Cry Over Spilt Milk.
Have you ever let your losses discourage you to the point of saying to yourself, “what’s the point of even trying?” Being so behind the eight ball, you’d rather forfeit the game than attempt the impossible shot. Three cups tipped over, blood spilling from them. Hope seems dashed and the outlook is grim with only ruins over the bridge into your future. Clouds darken overhead, your garments are tattered and worn. Is this where you tip your King on to its side an concede? Wait, I almost forgot; I’ve got an ace up my sleeve. I have two players fresh on the bench to turn around the game. No time for despair, like Captain Kirk changing the odds of the Kobayashi Maru, the referee has yet to reach ten yet and there’s a chance of being saved by the ringing of the bell. Do you want to settle for a “participation” trophy or go out there and knock someone on their ass? Leave a comment, I invite all to get in the game!
Dearly departed, we are gathered before thee;
we mourn the spilt milk of life,
which has run through our fingers.
We dare not yet take up another cup,
for it may flow downstream away from us.
Mortal, awake!
Cast off your sackcloth.
There is much in life yet to be gained,
if only you would cross the bridge
to a greater viewpoint from the other side.
