Hiyo, Quicksilver!
Here is a knight at full gallop, charging into battle. The wind is bending the trees, and the clouds are shredded by the force of it. Is there any doubt that this is our mercurial Gemini? Even his feather (symbol of a creature of the air) is split into twin blades, demonstrating the dual nature of his quick intelligence. Other signs ease into decision-making, but not so with Gemini, who rushes into a situation because they think in double time. They are the fastest draw in the West, but not always the most accurate shot. I have always enjoyed my friends who were Gemini, even if they didn’t stay in my life for very long. I hope you enjoy my poem, and I invite your remarks.
Whirlwind, stirring up the dust,
dancing to and fro.
East, West, Northeast, Southwest;
and so on.
Is it that the whirlwind can’t decide which way to go?
Or is it having so much fun with the dance,
the dust, and the day
to care?
