I’m cat-woman, hear me roar!
Our Queen is surrounded by the power of Leo the lion. The sunflower in her left hand is known for following the Sun as it arcs through the sky overhead. The motto for Leo is “I will,” and with the power of the royal lioness to back her up, is there any doubt that she will? Her throne is decorated with symbols of the sun as well as four lions, two above her and two on the armrests looking outward as if standing guard. The jewels in her crown, as well as in her brooch, are all red stones, and her cape and dress are red to indicate the relationship she has with fire. Dare I say that this Queen is a witch? With her trusty black cat as a feline familiar, her protector, companion spirit with its nine lives. Every Leo, male or female, I have known has been one of the most dynamic personalities, with a drive and natural leadership. Again, in a reading, if this card is reversed, it is a male Leo. I loved the movie “Cat People” back in the eighties, which was the inspiration for my poem. I’m loving your comments on my writing, and since I’m a fire sign myself, I’m eager to guide you on our final suit.
The panther’s golden eyes
flicker in the light,
spying into every corner,
as he prowls the corridors.
His tight, powerful body
is set to spring at any movement.
Ever alert, he finally settles;
muscles relax, growls become purrs
as he is scratched behind the ears
by a lady’s gentle hand.
