He was the first to see the horizon is not the edge.
What comes to mind when you view this card? For most people, it’s the globe held in his right hand. Historically, it brings to mind explorers like Columbus, who believed there was more to the world than just the horizon. In our modern times, this is a risk taker, an entrepreneur, a visionary willing to make sacrifices that ordinary people avoid. He is dressed in purple robes, suggesting he has already achieved status, if not wealth. Notice, too, that his robes are heavily stacked on his shoulders and covering his neck (the will or throat chakra). His head is covered with a medieval red captain’s hat, suggesting he is a seafarer as he looks over the ocean he calls home. On the right side is a staff attached to the wall, almost “anchored” to the foundations of his base. The other is held in his left, passive hand, receptive of his hopes and dreams. His look is determined. He knows his vision is based on faith and grit. All wands have sprigs of leaves growing from them, which is indicative of the creative life flowing from them. They are not ever depicted as dead pieces of wood, because they are symbolic of the fire, spiritual energy. Now I leave you with these images and let my poem take your vision even deeper.
