Everyone likes a parade!
The adoring faces of the crowd tell a lot; everyone is in the moment. This hero could easily be a modern Hollywood star posing for the paparazzi on the red carpet. A ticker-tape parade for war heroes, astronauts, or even Joe DiMaggio. It is a parade of missiles and tanks rolling past the Kremlin. The Olympians with their countries’ flags march past the stands filled with fans cheering on their heroes. The local politician with the Miss Peach Festival down the main street of your hometown. Heroes are always on white horses, right? A white horse symbolizes purity. His staff is decorated with a hero’s wreath marking his honor for whatever his achievement was, matched by the hero’s wreath placed upon his head like a crown. Andy Warhol coined the phrase “fifteen minutes of fame,” and of all the achievements in life, fame is the most fleeting. Just ask Kevin Spacey or James Franco (for modern times). Flash back to the Seven of Cups, where we saw the seven great temptations, with fame as one of them. Yet we love our heroes, but as times change, our “role models” change as well. Look how the villains of yesterday become the heroes of today. I don’t mean to shine negativity on this happy parade, just points to ponder. Loud are the cheers of the crowd,
praising the victorious hero.
High in the saddle,
chest out, chin up,
with palms and petals in his path.
Caught up in a sea of adoration;
all love him,
except the street sweeper,
and the new kid who’s fast on the draw.

With some thought over these past few weeks, I’ve come to a decision to no longer offer Tarot readings. There are just too many people offering these services, and some even for free, that it is diluting the value I offer with my years of experience and thousands of readings. I’ve been there and done that, and even though I may be available for select clients, my focus is to put my energy into real-time classes and speaking engagements. I desire to train the teachers of tomorrow with my unique wisdom. I am willing to travel anywhere, so if you are affiliated with a center of esoteric learning and have the ability to gather a group of seekers, we should talk and bond for mutual exchange.
