You’ve achieved success in the spiritual world and it’s a fight to stay in an elevated position for long. People expect our spiritual leaders, gurus, even the local minister to be above it all to earn our worship. Look at the scandals of Jimmy Swaggart, Warren Jeffs of the FLDS, the Catholic priest cover-ups. The subject matter for a Netflix documentary, or symtom of something more serious? I guess it’s whether yo are looking from inside of group or looking in at it. Survivors make the most interesting of witness testimonies, that is unless they have an axe to grind in the process. The Bible warns us of idols with feet of clay in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Just one aspect of public adoration and the perils of falling from the heights of the mountaintop. Our hero is depicted in a green tunic, the color of creative spirit. In the Waite-Smith version his leggings are bright yellow which is the color of the mind, mental thought and knowledge, becoming his foundational concept. So we acknowledge the mind of the leader is greater than the masses he preaches to, and to the teachings and inspiration they pass on to us mortals. Again I think this is a little different perspective than you will get from all the books on the Tarot. I’ve gotten such wonderful feedback on all of the previous cards and I want you to share the same great comments for this card too.
It’s hard to stay on top of the world,
to be “King of the Mountain” for long.
Everywhere I turn the competition is fierce,
with someone trying to knock me down.
They all want what I’ve got,
and I’ll be damned if they’ll get it!
Why won’t they cooperate,
and let me do my job?

After reflecting over the past few weeks, I’ve chosen to shift away from offering regular Tarot readings so I can step into a new, more expansive chapter of my work. With so many readers available today, including many who offer their services for free, I see this as the perfect moment to honor the depth of my own experience and thousands of readings by focusing it in a new direction. While I may still be available for select clients, I’m now excited to devote my energy to real-time classes and speaking engagements. My intention is to help train the teachers of tomorrow by sharing my unique wisdom in a more direct and empowering way. I’m happy to travel anywhere, so if you’re affiliated with a center of esoteric learning and can gather a sincere group of seekers, let’s talk and explore how we might create something powerful together. I’m seeking collaborative partners on the path, not followers.
